Francophiles in Seoul should get out their evening gowns and tuxedos for the Association of French-speakers in Korea’s annual black-tie charity gala on Feb. 16.
This year’s celebration, under the theme of “Luxury and Elegance,” will focus on France’s contribution to global business in fashion, cosmetics and luxury goods.
The evening kicks off at 8 p.m. with a Mumm champagne reception sponsored by Pernod-Ricard, a French beverage maker.
The reception will feature a photo shoot for guests by Studio 504, a piano performance and an exhibition of paintings by Korean-American artist Gina Son, a Francophile.
The evening includes a French gourmet dinner accompanied by a variety of presentations, starting at 9 p.m. Ida Daussy, a French-born TV personality in Korea, will serve as M.C. The venue is the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam. For reservations, contact (010) 7140-1501 or accueilAFC@yahoo.fr by Feb. 10.
