Leif Ove Andsnes, award-winning Norwegian pianist, will be performing at the Seoul Arts Center on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. Andsnes has made his country proud over the course of his 30-album career, having won the Gramophone Best Instrumental Award, the Best Concerto Recording at both the Gramophone Awards and the Grammies, and the UK Classical Brit Award among many others. Recording on the EMI label, Andsnes also works as music director at the Ris?r Chamber Music Festival in Norway, rated among the top 10 festivals in the world by the New York Times. He will be playing Grieg’s “Ballad in the Form of Variations on a Norwegian Folk Song in G Minor,” Schumann’s “Suite for Four Pianos,” Beethoven’s “Piano Sonata No. 32 in C Minor,” and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.” Check www.sac.or.kr/eng for details.
