The Italian Cultural Institute presents the exhibition “One Hundred Suns” at the Gwangju Design Center until March 30. For many years, Italy has had a special place in Gwang-ju’s Design Biennale. Gwangju places increasing importance on design and globalization. This exhibition will feature the Italian lamps and lighting concepts previously displayed at the Asian Museum in Daejeon. Three sections are included: “Artist’s Lights,” with contemporary artists who incorporate light into their work; “Design Lights,” with representative designs from major Italian lamp producers; and “Technological Lights,” which displays pieces from Florence.
