The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will be performing in Jeonju on Feb. 23 and at the Seoul Arts Center in Seoul on Feb. 28. In the course of its 100 year-plus history, the orchestra has been conducted by some of classical music’s greats, including Strauss, Ravel, Debussy, Mahler and Stravinsky. The group, based in Amsterdam, is comprised of the bandmaster, the second violin, the viola and the cello. Their performance will feature Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 4, Dvorak’s String Quartet No. 12 and Schumann’s Piano Quintet, with Korean pianist Choi Hie-yon as a guest for the last piece.
