The Finnish Embassy invites adventurous gallery-goers to explore the Silk Road of the early 20th century through the lens of Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, a Finnish soldier and explorer who was tasked by the Russian government with a survey of the famed route through central Asia and China in 1906. After serving Finland with valor in World War II, Mannerheim later became president of Finland from 1944 to 1946. The exhibition runs through June 30 at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center on the first floor of the JoongAng Ilbo building, near exit 9 of City Hall Station, line No. 1 or 2.
