The Kazakh Embassy is holding a presentation of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan this evening. The assembly is an organization that was established in 1995 to promote the interests of underrepresented minority groups in Kazakhstan. The organization is comprised of some 350 members from 100 ethnic groups. The event will feature several prominent members, including Deputy Chairman Dyachenko Sergey; a member of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, Abaidildin Talgatbek and Klara Khan, vice president of the Kazakh stan-Korea Friendship Association. Ambassador Dulat Bakishev will also give a welcoming address. Dinner, musical performances and a presentation of several books about Kazakhstan’s foreign relations, such as “Ten Years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan” will be included.
