The Embassy of Canada will host a an invitation-only reception at 6:30 p.m. Friday at its new location in Jeong-dong, central Seoul. The reception will celebrate the official opening of Canada’s new chancery and present the recently named new ambassador of Canada to Seoul, Ted Lipman, to the public. Lipman joined the Canadian Department of External Affairs in 1976. He recently served as executive director of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, Taiwan. Canada’s Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deepak Obhria, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Len Edwards, will attend.
