The Korea Science Festival, to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan from Aug. 10 to 15, will feature two exhibits from Australia. The first, MathAmazing, was created by Questacon, Australia’s national museum of science and technology.
The exhibit’s goal is to encourage learning about math through informal play, interpretation and experimentation, using examples of Australia’s innovative approach to education.
The University of Western Australia is offering another exhibit called “Are You Fit to be in the Olympics?” Visitors will be able to test their heart rate, learn about their aerobic fitness level and compare their results to those of Olympians. The exhibits are sponsored in part by the Australia-Korea Foundation. Later this month, they will be on display at the Seoul National Science Museum from Aug. 18 to Sept. 4.
