Arturo Brachetti is an Italian performance artist who specializes in an art form called “quick-change.” This technique involves a performer who changes from one costume to another in seconds in front of the audience. As a seminary student, Brachetti discovered magic tricks, which led him to become the most famous international artist in his field. The Guinness Book of World Records listed the Italian as the fastest quick-change artist in the world in 2006. His act includes more than 350 characters. Brachetti will perform his famed one-man show, “The Man of a Thousand Faces,” for the first time in Korea in January. Visitors should expect to see the Italian artist transform in the blink of an eye in his 100-minute show, during which he will appear to change faces, ages and genders. Brachetti’s performances will take place from Jan. 4 to 20 at the Seongnam Art Center and from Jan. 23 to Feb. 14 at the Seoul Arts Center.
