Today: The U.S. Embassy Cultural Affairs Office is hosting a good old-fashioned hoedown complete with square dance. The old time music featured is traditional downhome folk music twanged on fiddles and banjos. Fiddler Chuck Horneman will be first to take the stage. Horneman, originally from Madison, Wisconsin, is one of the most famous fiddlers in the Midwest. He will play contra and square dances.
The second performer will be guitarist and guitar maker Todd Cambio, who is also from Madison. Cambio specializes in finger-picking, and will pluck out some blues and old-time tunes. Dan Margolies, a clawhammer banjo player from Norfolk, Virginia, is also on the bill. The event is free. The show starts at 7:00 p.m at Sogang University, building No. 6. Sogang is between Sincheon and Daeheung subway stations, on lines 2 and 6, respectively.
