Saturday to Sunday: The Royal Asiatic Society Korea Branch is holding a tour to Korea’s deep south.

South Jeolla is one of the few remaining unspoiled regions in the country, retaining a mysterious charm that attracted revolutionary philosophers.

The tour is a chance to enjoy the beauty of the South Jeolla countryside and learn about some of the interesting historical figures who lived in exile there.

The tour leaves from Yongsan Post Office at 8 a.m. Saturday and will return at 8 p.m. Sunday. It costs 178,000 won for members and 198,000 won for nonmembers.
