Aug. 8 to 9: The outdoor travel club for expatriates, Korean Safari, is hosting an overnight rafting tour on the Dong River in Gangwon Province.

The tour group will travel to one of the most pristine valleys in Korea for some paddling and spectacular scenery.

The rapids are novice class and expert river guides will be on hand. This is a perfect trip for anyone who would like to see some natural scenery from an incredible vantage point.

The trip will depart from in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, central Seoul, at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Rafting will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a BBQ party at the hotel near the Dong River in the evening. The tour will arrive back in Seoul at 4:30 p.m on Sunday.

The trip costs 80,000 won, which includes transportation and rafting expenses.
