Wednesday: The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea is holding an energy committee meeting with guest speaker Dr. Richard Swanson, who will discuss “Emerging Industry Trends and Developments Necessary to Substantially Increase Production and Deployment of Photovoltaic Technologies as a Key Alternative to Fossil Fuels.”

An innovator in this field, Dr. Richard Swanson, who is the President & CTO, SunPower Corporation, will provide valuable insight into this topic.

AMCHAM members have finished a position paper on what they can do to support the government’s green growth initiatives and what they think the Korean government can do to accelerate deployment. The paper has been circulated to the Ministries of Knowledge Economy and of the Environment, as well as to the President’s Council on Green Growth. In the paper, AMCHAM members advocate the use of solar energy technology as one of the key alternatives to fossil fuels.

The meeting will be held in the Namsan II room on the second floor of the Grand Hyatt Seoul on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.
