Saturday: Fides Travel is hosting a weekend trip to Jeongseon in Gangwon in association with Korail.

Upon arrival, visitors will first head to a traditional market, where lunch will be served. Visitors will then head straight to Gujeol-ri fir a rail-bike (handcar) ride.

Rail-cycling is a leisure sport that combines biking along a railway and scenic views.

The tour follows an abandoned railway track that runs from Auraji to Gujeol-ri. The track is 7.2 kilometers long and is a continuous descent that passes by Songcheon stream and the crimson red foliage. There are 2-person (110 kilograms) and 4-person rail-bikes (138 kilograms).

On the way back, travelers will return to Gujeol-ri on the train for a comfortable ride with a view. Before heading back to Seoul, the group will visit the traditional folk village Ararichon, which features local housing styles once seen in and around Jeongseon.

The group will meet at the Travel Service Center at Seoul Station at 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The trip costs 75,000 won and includes insurance, local transport, return train fare, a box dinner and all entrance fees. An English speaking guide will be present on the tour.
