Aug. 11: RASKB is arranging a drive along Bukak Skyway and a short hike to Inwang Mountain. The area was long reserved for the political elite, but now civilians can enjoy the area’s scenic views. The drive will start at Sarangbang, once the secret building for a top presidential secretary. The group will take a bus along Bukak Skyway and stop at Inwang Mountain to hike for an hour and a half. Afterwards, the group will head to Hwanghakjeong, an archery practice area during the Joseon Dynasty, and Sajik Park, which houses an altar dedicated to the gods of grain and harvest.
The tour costs 145,000 won ($157) for members and 174,000 won for non-members. The bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. from Yongsan Post Office near Sinyongsan Station, line No. 4, exit 1 and at 8:50 a.m. from the Korea Publishers Building, opposite the east entrance to Gyeongbokgung. The bus will return to Yongsan Post Office at 1:30 p.m.
