July 15: RASKB is arranging a day trip to Deokjeong Island, 71 kilometers (44 miles) off the coast of Incheon. With four beaches and Bijobon Mountain, Deokjeong Island is one of the most popular attractions to visit during the summer in Korea. The group will visit Seopori Beach, which is shielded from the wind by a forest of more than 1,000 pine trees. Visitors will be able to swim and sunbathe along the sweetbrier-dotted, two-kilometer long white sand beach. Afterward, the group will hike to Bijobong Mountain. While walking through tunnels of conifers, the group will be able to hear locusts singing. Using a drag-reducing hydrofoil-equipped sailboat, the group will take a 70-minute trip from Incheon to Deokjeong Island. The trip costs 59,000 won for members and 69,800 won for nonmembers. The group will leave at 8 a.m. from Yongsan Post Office, at Sinyongsan Station, line No. 4, exit 1, by subway and return by 8 p.m.
