July 28: Adventure Korea is organizing a raft and bungee-jumping trip to Hantangang River. The river is in Cheorwon County, Gangwon, two hours away by bus. Since the area was formed by volcanic activity, rows of vertical cliffs alongside the river offer a scenic view. Hantangang River is ideal for beginner rafters because it has stimulating but safe currents. After two-and-a-half hours of rafting, the group will be able to shower and have lunch. A 20-minute bus ride will then take the group to the bungee-jumping bridge over Hantangang River. Those who wish to bungee-jump will need an additional 30,000 won. Others can either watch the jumpers or swim in the river. Not including bungee jumping, the trip costs 45,000 won. The bus leaves at 7:30 a.m. on July 28 from Hongik University Station, line No. 2, exit 1, and at 8 a.m. from Express Bus Terminal Station, line No. 3 or 7, exit 8. The group will return to the Express Bus Terminal and Hongik University Stations at 8 and 8:30 p.m., respectively.
