Saturday and Sunday: The RASKB is organizing a weekend trip to the coastal city of Gangneung, in Gangwon. The first stop will be Ojookhun, the restored birthplace of Lee Yul-gok, a famous scholar from the Joseon Dynasty. The Gangneung Municipal Museum and Folklore Pavilion are located inside the house. Afterward, the group will take a tour of local attractions, such as Seongyojang and the Gyeongpo Provincial Park. After spending the night, the group will drive on Sunday morning along Gyeongpo Beach, one of the best-known and longest white-sand beaches in Korea.
The next stop will be Mang-haejong in Uljin, where the group will have lunch and take in the scenery. On the way back to Seoul, the bus will detour around Mount Sobaek.
The trip costs 178,000 won for members and 198,000 won for non-members.
The bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday from Yongsan Post Office, near Sinyongsan Station, line No. 4, exit 1, and returns around 9 p.m.
