Saturday: Adventure Korea is organizing a trip to the Achimgari Valley in Gangwon. This is a relatively unknown area, and as such has a well-preserved natural environment. Surprisingly, it is still without electricity or phone lines and effectively cut off from the thriving modern civilization that teems over most of the rest of the peninsula. The group will take a walking tour around the creeks that run through the valley. After the waking tour, there will be a short lunch break when participants can either relax or go for a swim. It is said that the natural beauty of the area reaches its peak during this time of year, and the weather is predicted to be pleasant for the trip. The tour will be an opportunity to get off the beaten tourist track and experience the natural beauty of Korea.
The trip costs 35,000 won ($38). The bus will depart from Hongik University Station, line No. 2, exit 1, at 7 a.m. on Saturday and return around 9 p.m. the same day.
