Sunday: The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture teams up with architect Cho In-souk for these guided walks around historic neighborhoods of Seoul, analyzing interesting locations tucked in corners of the city or hidden from view. This edition of the ongoing walk series is called “A Bridge to Contemporary Seoul,” and focuses on the sweeping transformation of the past century. It begins at the old Seoul Station building, which is currently dwarfed by the new station. The course then heads to Sohn Kee-chung Memorial Hall, Jungnimdong Catholic Church and Seosomun Martyrs Park. It finishes at the JoongAng Ilbo building, which houses the Korea Foundation Cultural Center. The exhibit “Masterpieces in Ceramics from the V&A (see above left)” is now on display, and an English tour is available for 6,000 won. The walking tour is free. This is the first of this year’s tour series. Walks are held on the fourth Sunday of each month from March to October.
