Feb. 19: The Seoul International Women’s Association, SIWA, is putting together an Indian cooking class for those looking to add some spice to their cooking. It will be led by Rupa, a chef who taught Indian cuisine in Japan for two years and has published recipes in Japan’s largest-selling newspaper and in a Japanese lifestyle magazine. She will teach some popular Indian dishes using inexpensive ingredients easily available in Seoul. She’ll cover a full range of menu items, including tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, samosas, chicken korma with peas pulao and bhapa doi (baked yogurt).
The class will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hannam Tower in Hannam-dong, near Hangangjin Station, line No. 6, exit 3, and costs 20,000 won per person. To register, visit www.siwapage.com.
