Dec. 29: Raskb is arranging a trip to Seorak Mountain National Park in Gangwon Province. On the first day, the group will start off with a hike to Biryong Waterfall ― “biryong” means “flying dragon” in Korean. After the two and half hour round trip, participants will take a short side trek to Shinheung Buddhist Temple. The night’s relaxation includes a dip in Cheoksan Hot Spring (for 7,000 won). On day two, those still eager to hike will head toward Heundeul-bawi, a boulder balanced on the edge of a broad, flat rock. Although a single person can sway it slightly with a heavy push, dozens can’t remove it from its perch. Some group members who are energetic enough to advance further will climb as high as Ulsanbawi. The trip costs 198,000 won for members and 218,000 won for nonmembers. The bus leaves from Yongsan Post Office, near Sin-yongsan Station, line No. 4, exit 1, at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The return is slated for 9:30 p.m on Sunday.
