To Nov. 28: A chance to experience Scottish dancing is available until the end of November in preparation for the St. Andrew’s Ball. The sessions are held at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Aston Hall of the British Embassy (City Hall Station, line No.1 or 2, exit 3). Before taking part, e-mail Maria Mackay at mackay@korea.com or Barbara Johnston at bajsingapore@hotmail.com to get your name on the list. Once registered, those interested can drop in at any practice session. Participants will learn three types of Scottish dances: the reel, the jig and the strathspey. The St. Andrew’s Ball will be held Dec. 1 at the Grand Hilton; tickets are 165,000 won ($180), including dinner, drinks and breakfast the next morning.
