Saturday to Sunday: The Royal Asiatic Society Korea Branch heads south for the weekend. The first stop is the primeval Namhae Island. The group will visit the small yet exquisite Irak Temple, located on the battlefield where Korean hero General Yi Sun-shin last fought. Then the group will cruise by the small islands near Namhae. On Sunday morning, the group moves to Jinhae, home of Korea’s biggest cherry blossom festival. The group will also explore Jinhae’s historic sites, including the museum that houses Yi’s personal effects and war diary. The tour costs 179,000 won ($179) for members and 195,000 won for nonmembers. The bus leaves at 7:30 a.m. Saturday from Yongsan Post Office, near Sinyongsan Station, line 4, exit 1, and should return by 9 p.m. Sunday. www.raskb.com
