Saturday: The Korea Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages’ Seoul Chapter is holding its monthly meeting this weekend.

In the last ten years, English instruction in Korea has increasingly focused on conversation and less on reading and grammar. However, results have shown little increase in student confidence and participation.

Dr. Kim Jeong-ryeol will speak on how to improve the Get-Learn-Use cycle and also on current trends in the Korean EFL field.

Dr. Kim is a professor of English at Korea National University of Education and has been involved in several government projects in English education. He has published many books on English language instruction and is also a former Kotesol president.

The meeting will be held in Room 207, Injaeguan Building at Sookmyung Women’s University from 3 to 5 p.m., and is open to everyone.
