Friday: Following the success of the fund-raising event for the Daejeon dog shelter in February, Animal Rescue Korea is hosting another event to raise money for food and veterinary care for dogs in need. Animal Rescue Korea is an English-language Web site gathering useful information to help animals in South Korea.
There will be live music from 9 p.m. and a raffle with an iPod Nano up for grabs. A number of the shelter s dogs will also be at the event for participants to meet and play with.
The entrance fee is 10,000 won ($10). All proceeds will be donated to the pet shelter.
The event will be held at Rocky Mountain Tavern near Itaewon Station, line 6, exit 3. Anyone interested in donating who cannot make it to the event can visit the Web site at www.animalrescuekorea.org
