Thursday: The Seoul International Women’s Association will be hosting an evening get-together at the Sanchon Restaurant in Insa-dong, central Seoul tomorrow night.

Sanchon means “mountain village” in Korean and you will feel like you’re in a country house complete with beautiful Korean furniture. The bowls, spoons, chopsticks and even the wine bottles are made from the wood of the zelkova tree, which grows near Mount Jiri in South Jeolla, the highest mountain on the South Korean mainland.

The evening will begin with dinner consisting of 20 dishes, including seven wild vegetables, cooked roots of balloon flowers, fern bracken and steamed bean curd with burdock, mushrooms and carrots.

After dinner there will be an unforgettable performance featuring monk dancing, Korean samulnori drums and more.

The dinner starts at 7 p.m. and costs 40,000 won ($38).
